Hi! We’re Marnie and Tricia, two local moms who were lucky enough to find our village here in Natick.

It started with a babywearing ballet class at DanceFIT Studios. Gina, the studio owner, welcomed us to stay after class with our babies and spend time together. We talked, shared what we were going through, and slowly got to know one another.

When the six week session ended, a small group of us decided we didn’t want the connection to end with it. So we kept gathering, this time at Marnie’s house. The group grew, and so did our babies.

Those babies are now four years old, and our mom group is more than 10 women strong. Somewhere along the way, we stopped needing our kids as the reason to get together. Now there’s a book club, mahjong nights, trivia, dinners, texts asking for advice, and friends to call when motherhood, or life, feels like a lot.

What we found was something that became essential to our well-being as new moms: friendship, movement, connection, and a judgment-free group of women who just get it.

Because motherhood is always changing and often completely confounding. Sometimes you need people who understand the leaking breasts, the toddler who refuses to get into the car seat, the anxiety of starting solids, the sleepless nights, the relationship changes, and the thousand other things no one can fully prepare you for.

And then, apparently, you need them for perimenopause too.

Village Natick grew from the belief that finding this kind of community shouldn’t have to happen by luck. We want to create more opportunities for local women to move, connect, gather, and find their people—whatever stage of motherhood they’re in.
